Voga Sea tours is a small family owned company that offers sea tours. Because it is family owned, we offer a cozy and personal experience in our tours. Our tours are about 3 hours. On the way you can enjoy the view of the open ocean or relax in our inside area and have a unique experience.

Itinerary

The types of whales that most seen is minke whales, white-beaked dolphins, humpback whales, harbor porpoises. We will see sea birds such as gannets, puffins, guillemots, cormorants, gulls, arctic terns, and many more. To make our tours even more comfortable, you can be in the warm inside area.

Arrival
Please show up at least 30 min before the scheduled trip.

Departure
Once we have gone over few safety tips, we head out and look for some whales and/or dolphins.

Whale exploring
Now, once at open sea, we explore the oceans until we find whales and/or dolphins, take in the breathtaking schenary, fresh air and nature in all it´s glory.

Going back
After 2.5 – 3.5 hours of awesome tour and hopefully a bucket loads of fantastic memories, we head home.

Enjoy a trip through the magnificent West Glacial canyon. This trip is ideal for those who want to enjoy a relaxing trip and take in some breathtaking scenery. For family rafting the West is the best. The West Glacial River is classed 2-3.

All of our trips start and end from our onsite boathouse. Our friendly and professional guides will provide you with all of the equipment needed for tackling our famous glacial rivers. We provide wetsuits, dry tops, helmets, buoyancy aids /life jackets and rafting booties. All you need to bring is your swimsuit, a warm long sleeve fleece and a towel. Optional extras are a sense of humour and adventure!

We will then take a 20 minute drive towards the West Glacial river. Your trip leader will give a full safety brief. You will then be divided into crews and assigned a boat and most of all your guide. Once on the river we will enter the canyon with its high walls and amazing geology. Along the way we may stop for a unique hot chocolate and for a spot of cliff jumping for the brave ones. The bus will be waiting at the takeout for the short drive back to the base where the hot pools await.

It’s time to hook in and hold on. The East Glacial river has a reputation of being one of the most exciting rivers in Europe. We guarantee you will have a great adventure with us! The East Glacial River is classed 4+.

The trip begins at our boathouse where our friendly and professional guides will provide you with all of the equipment and information needed for tackling our famous glacial rivers. We provide wet-suits, dry tops, helmets, buoyancy aids /life jackets and rafting booties. All you need to bring is your swimsuit, a warm sweater or fleece and a towel. Optional extras are a sense of humor and adventure!

Once we are all changed we will then drive you into the East valley to our rafting put in. Our trip leader will give a safety brief with all of the relative safety information needed to get the most out of your trip.

We journey 16 km through the East Glacial canyon. We will tackle rapids named: Alarm Clock, Commitment, Screaming Lady and of course the famous Green Room. Depending on the water levels we will also stop for some cliff jumping for those that feel they need a little more excitement.The bus will meet us at the take out where steaming bowls of hot soup are waiting. After a short 20 minute ride back to the base you can unwind in our hot pools.

If you choose a tour with transportation, we will pick you up from your accommodation in Reykjavík and drive you to Thingvellir National Park where Silfra is located, about an hour's drive from Reykjavík. The tour is approximately 5 hours from the time of pick up in Reykjavík to the time of drop off. You can also choose to drive yourself to Silfra. Upon arrival at Silfra, your guide will give you your dry suit and snorkeling equipment, and explain how to use this equipment. The guide will also give you advice on how to stay warm and comfortable during your 30 to 40 minute snorkeling tour of the Silfra Hall, Silfra Cathedral, and Silfra Lagoon sites.
